The parishes of St. Vincent de Paul (Newport News), St. Joseph (Buckroe), and St. Mary Star of the Sea (Ft. Monroe) comprise the Diocese of Richmond Peninsula Cluster Parishes.
It is the mission of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church to CELEBRATE our diversity as children of God, to GATHER as a faith-filled community, and to WITNESS as Disciples of Christ.
Located in downtown Newport News, our Church gathers as The Body of Christ to worship at weekend Masses and utilizes the time, talent and treasure of our parishioners and community volunteers to promote justice and peace through our Social Action Center during the week. Like our patron saint, St. Vincent de Paul, our parish works to meet the needs of the poor in our city with our Backdoor Ministry (serving lunch Monday-Friday), our Food Pantry (distributing food to the elderly, disabled, and families), our Clothing Closet, and other seasonal programs.

Our Welcome pamphlet is available for pick up inside the church.

Our building is a Virginia Historic Landmark and on the National Register of Historical Places. Our stained glass windows are breathtaking. Stay after Mass and use the guide below to learn more about the scenes depicted in them.
